Summer 2020
After learning about the Krewe of Red Beans Feed the Second Line NOLA foundation, I decided to use my artwork to raise money for the organization. I created watercolor prints of popular bars around Tulane University and posted about the fundraiser on Facebook and Instagram. 100% of the proceeds went to Feed the Second Line and helped to purchase food from local restaurants for artists, musicians, and other culture bearers in New Orleans. Over two weeks, 200+ prints were sold and $2,363.76 was donated to the organization.
NEW ORLEANS SAFETY & FREEDOM FUND

Summer 2020
Like so many others, I was enraged and upset after the murder of George Floyd. In the days after his death, I did my best to listen, learn, and assist in the Black Lives Matter movement in any way I could. I heard about Operation Restoration's NOLA Safety & Freedom Fund from a friend and decided to use my watercolor prints to raise money for the cause. The NOLA Safety & Freedom Fund helps those waiting trial post bail. The organization as a whole works on supporting incarcerated and formerly incarcerated women, as well as creating long-term systemic change to the criminal justice system. Over 48-hours, $384 was donated towards the fund, which was eventually matched by the Tulane Panhellenic Council, resulting in a total of $768.
